Today I am sharing my basic scrunchie pattern with you. This pattern has two versions (as shown above). The first uses Hdc only and the 2nd is a tad wider and uses Hdc for the first row and Dc for the 2nd row, both are very easy & quick to work up!

Skill Level: Easy
Supplies:
Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Bernat Velvet Yarn
Goody Hair Ties (4 mm)
Large Eye Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Abbreviations (US Terms):
Ch - Chain
Dc -- Double Crochet
Hdc - Half Double Crochet
Ss - Slip Stitch
Version 1
Row 1: Working around the hair tie: Join with a ss, ch 1. Work 55 hdc around the hair tie. Join with a ss. (55 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 1, work 2 hdc in each stitch around. Join with a ss. (110 hdc)
Fasten off and sew in ends.
Version 2
Row 1: Working around the hair tie: Join with a ss, ch 1. Work 55 hdc around the hair tie. Join with a ss. (55 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 1, work 2 dc in each stitch around. Join with a ss. (110 dc)
Fasten off and sew in ends.
