Free Crochet Pattern: Women's Slouchy Textured Beanie

IMPORTANT NOTE: This pattern will be removed and replaced with an updated version on October 5, 2020.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT NOTE: I've decided to put this pattern back up because I have received many emails requesting it but be warned, this is an older pattern of mine and doesn't read as well as my newer patterns. I did update this pattern and simplify it, you can find that pattern here:

This particular pattern has some great photos posted on Ravelry by fellow crocheters and I wanted to say thanks to everyone who has given it a try, I love seeing how you have used the pattern!

There is now an infinity scarf to match this hat, you can find it here: Textured Infinity Scarf
If you're not into infinity scarves, there is also a traditional scarf version here: Textured Scarf

Thanks so much for stopping by!
-Jenni

Now you can add a pom pom to the top of the hat!  I use my hand to make my pom poms and wrap the yarn around and around my hand (about 100 times). Lay out a long piece of yarn (approx. 18"). Carefully slip the yarn off of your hand and lay on top of the long piece of yarn, tie a knot twice. Using your tapestry needle; sew the long yarn ends in and out of the pom pom over and over. Add a dab or two of fabric glue to the center. Let dry. Cut through all your loops and trim up your pom pom. Sew to the top of hat.
