Free Crochet Pattern: The Loopy Scrunchie


Hi, thanks for stopping by! This is a pretty simple pattern that works up in 20-25 minutes, I love these and use them almost daily. The soft velvet yarn is gentle on your hair too!

Supplies:
Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook 
Bernat Velvet Yarn 
Goody Hair Ties 
Darning Needle
Scissors

Abbreviations (US Terms):
Ch - Chain
Hdc - Half Double Crochet
Ss - Slip Stitch

Row 1: Working around the hair tie: Join around the hair tie with a ss, ch 1. Work 70 hdc around the hair tie. Join with a ss. (70 hdc)
Row 2: *Ch 5, ss into next space* repeat *to* around. Join with a ss.
Fasten off and sew in ends.

Supplies:
Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Bernat Velvet Yarn
Goody Hair Ties (4 mm)
Large Eye Tapestry Needle
Scissors

Abbreviations (US Terms):
Ch - Chain
Hdc - Half Double Crochet
Tr - Triple Crochet
Ss - Slip Stitch

Row 1: Working around the hair tie: Join with a ss, ch 1. Work 55 hdc around the hair tie. Join with a ss. (55 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as tr), work 2 tr in the 1st stitch, 3 tr in each remaining stitch around. Join with a ss. (165 tr)
Fasten off and sew in ends.

Free Crochet Pattern: The Basic Scrunchie

Today I am sharing my basic scrunchie pattern with you. This pattern has two versions (as shown above). The first uses Hdc only and the 2nd is a tad wider and uses Hdc for the first row and Dc for the 2nd row, both are very easy & quick to work up!

Supplies:
Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Bernat Velvet Yarn
Goody Hair Ties (4 mm)
Large Eye Tapestry Needle
Scissors

Abbreviations (US Terms):
Ch - Chain
Dc -- Double Crochet
Hdc - Half Double Crochet
Ss - Slip Stitch

Version 1

Row 1: Working around the hair tie: Join with a ss, ch 1. Work 55 hdc around the hair tie. Join with a ss. (55 hdc)
Row 2: Ch 1, work 2 hdc in each stitch around. Join with a ss. (110 hdc)

Fasten off and sew in ends.

Version 2
