Supplies:
Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle Yarn, approx. 25-30 yards
Abbreviations (US terms):
Ch - Chain
Hdc - Half Double Crochet
Hdc2tog - Half Double Crochet 2 Together
Ss - Slip Stitch
Notes:
-Ch 1 does NOT count as a stitch.
-All joins are made with a ss to the first stitch made, not the ch.
-This pattern uses a magic circle, if you don't know how to make one you can learn with this quick video tutorial: Magic Circle Video Tutorial
Row 1: Magic Circle, ch 1, 8 hdc in circle. Pull circle tight and join. (8)
Row 2: Ch 1, 2 hdc in each st around. Join. (16)
Row 3: Ch 1, *2 hdc, hdc in next st.* Repeat *to* around. Join. (24)
Row 4: Ch 1, *hdc in 2 st, 2 hdc in next st.* Repeat *to* around. Join. (32)
Row 5-6: Ch 1, hdc in each st around. Join. (32)
Row 7: Ch 1, *hdc2tog, hdc in next 2 st* Repeat *to* around. Join. (24)
Start to fill by layering catnip then poly-fil.
Row 8: Ch 1, *hdc, hdc2tog* Repeat *to* around. Join. (16)
If you would like to add more poly-fil to make the ball more firm do so now, also add just a bit more catnip too.
Row 9: Ch 1, *hdc2tog* Repeat *to* around. Join. (8)
Fasten off and use end to sew hole shut, sew in any remaining ends.
