Main color, approx. 250-275 yards
Contrast color, approx. 40 yards
Size N (9.0 mm) Crochet Hook
Size K (6.5 mm) Crochet Hook
Stitch Abbreviations (US Terms):
Ch – Chain
Dc – Double Crochet
Sk – Skip
Sl St – Slip Stitch
Pattern for gauge:
Using N Hook:
Row 1: Ch 11, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each across.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Dc in same and in each across.
Piece should measure approximately 4” x 2” for gauge. If not, please adjust your tension or hook size to get gauge.
-Ch 2 does not count as dc and is not included in the stitch count at the end of each row.
-Joins are made with sl st to the first dc, do not join to the ch 2.
Using N Hook:
Row 1: Ch 125, being careful not to twist the chain join with a sl st to the first ch. Ch 2, dc in next and in each around. Join. (124 dc)
Row 2-8: Ch 2, dc in same and in each around. Join. (124 dc)
Fasten off after row 8 or if you would like your scarf even wider repeat last row for 1 or more rows.
Using K Hook:
Join with a sl st in the first dc of row 8, *ch 4, sk 1, sl st in next.* Repeat from *to* around.
Fasten off and join with a sl st in any space on the opposite side of the scarf (row 1), *ch 4, sk 1, sl st in next.* Repeat from *to* around.
Fasten off and sew in ends.
